In one posting for an operation research engineer, listed duties include "building a global logistic and warehousing network." In the second quarter of 2022, e-commerce sales totaled $257.3 billion on an adjusted basis, up 2.7% from the prior quarter and 6.8% from the same quarter last year, according to the Census Bureau.
