  很多网站使用大写文本强调信息，但这么做实际上会弱化信息，因为文本全大写会降低单词与单词间的对比度[2]。


  对任意字体而言，不管是sans-serif字体还是serif字体，大写文本中的单词都是矩形形状，这意味着其中每个单词的顶部和底部的边缘都是并行的，造成对比度很低。但主单词首字母大写的文本的顶部和底部有多个相邻的边缘，提高了对比度。[3]
